Email us to become a part of the group of new CrossFitters starting up every month.
At CrossFit Wachusett, its going to look a lot different than group aerobics, bodypump or bootcamp or any other group exercise class. We will need to ensure that you are competent enough in the CrossFit movements to safely join group classes.
With that in mind, you will start off with our On-Ramp Sessions. These are a series of one-on-one coached one hour training sessions, followed by one week of group class integration. For the one-on-one On-Ramp sessions, you will schedule time with a CrossFit Wachusett coach for a minimum of three visits (the average is five sessions, depending on your fitness background). During these one-on -one coached sessions you will become familiar with the movements of CrossFit (30-40 movements) including things like weight lifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, and rowing. You will also learn warm-up drills, mobility and injury prevention skills as well as have the opportunity to ask your coaches about anything in the CrossFit realm you want to know.
Why do I need to do the On-Ramp Sessions:
CrossFit is technical, it requires more than a simple movement demo and verbal cue. We want you to be efficient and safe and learn all the proper progressions that will lead you to more advanced skills like a rope climb, a ring muscle-up, a hand-stand push-up, a snatch or a clean and jerk. We want you to leave the On-Ramp Sessions with confidence in the base you have created to start building on it and to start advancing your strength, conditioning and skills. The On-Ramp Sessions allow us, as coaches, to spend a little more time on each movement as well as on each member as an individual. Because we break down each movement so much, there is more time to address movement correction and personal limitation that members in our CrossFit Group Classes that have already been through the On-Ramp Sessions and been CrossFitting for years don’t need every day. It allows us to go in depth where we need to go in depth so that you can continue to build your knowledge base from the ground up. Forming trust and relationships are also part of the On-Ramp Sessions. You will the opportunity to meet and be coached by CrossFit Wachusett coaches. They will become familiar faces throughout the classes that you will be able to recognize and rely on when you get to Group CrossFit Classes. After the On-Ramp Sessions, you will be able to integrate into the Group CrossFit Classes with the familiar face of a coach and with the supportive group of members at CrossFit Wachusett! Once you are competent in the CrossFit movements and have improved your fitness level through one-on-one sessions of learning warm-ups, lifts and workouts, you will be ready for your week of Group CrossFit Classes! The first week following the On-Ramp Sessions is your try at our Unlimited Membership. You will be able to attend as many classes during that week as you want to and take full advantage of trying out different class times, types and coaches.
You will see the familiar faces of your On-Ramp Session Coaches and you will also get to meet other members of your new CrossFit Wachusett Family. The classes are great settings to flourish as an individual and as community member. You will experience challenges and successes as well as experience those challenge and successes of others. CrossFit Wachusett classes are common ground to meet your fitness goals as well as meet other like minded people all on a similar path of health and well-being.
Your one-on-one On-Ramp Sessions and one week of Unlimited Group CrossFit Classes commences your first experience of CrossFit. You will be free to choose the best membership plan that works for you.
3x/Week – We suggest this option as the minimum to see the best results if you do not have another training item in place. Three classes per week is a great transition membership between the On-Ramp Classes and our Unlimited Membership. Sometimes it takes a little time to get your body accustomed to moving at the intensity and frequency that you want it to. So, going from a couple visits per week with the On-Ramp Sessions to three visits per week can be a healthy dose. This is also a great option for the busy mom’s and dad’s, students, or commuter/long hours workers who may not be able to get to the gym 4-6 times per week.
Unlimited – This membership option is the most beneficial. You are free to come to as many classes per week as you want to. This allows you to take advantage of our Group CrossFit Classes as well as some of our specialty classes all week long. You will see the most progress with attending 4-6 times per week. The Unlimited Membership is the best value for the amount of classes that you take.

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that started with military officers, police officers and firefighters where true fitness was essential for survival. It quickly transcended into the primary workout program for martial artists and elite athletes worldwide. The undeniable results achieved via CrossFit have created widespread growth beyond this population to the “average” consumer. The program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. It’s specialty is not specializing. Military, police, sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. The program can be used for elderly individuals with heart disease to professional athletes preparing for their season. In CrossFit, load and intensity are scaled to meet the demands of the individual; not the program. In a sentence, CrossFit is for everyone!
