 Let us tell you about the 14th fittest female in the world of the 60+ Masters Division: ladies and gentlemen, Ms. Carol Gabriel.  She is the classiest, most competitive, determined, bad ass, athlete you will ever meet!  The moment we walked into registration, this CFW  celebrity was swept into the free shopping-spree of a lifetime conference room of the Marriott.  She was fitted (thats right, they altered her clothes!) for shirts, sports bras, shorts, capris, pants, tank tops, compression sleeves, headbands, a long sleeved shirt and shoes.  Thats pretty awesome, right?  Well, the most awesome part was that she was rocking “Gabriel” on everything!

After being set up as one hell of a Reebok CrossFit model, it was all business!  Throughout her two days of competition Carol grew so much as an athlete!  She has become a confident veteran Games competitor who brings her game face, sass, style and best Boston accent to the competition floor!  Carol got better and better every workout she completed!  And the best part is she’s still hungry for more!  The road to the 2014 CrossFit Games is already on her mind, she wants back at it!

Carol is an amazing role model for everyone, especially females!  No matter how old you are, you can conquer the handstand push-up, the pull-up, the snatch, or even movements you have never done, like hand over hand sled pulls!  There is no age in CrossFit, there is hard work, determination, persistence, the love of challenge, the sweet taste of victory and the unsettling, driving hunger to do better.  It may be impressive to see the Games athletes clean and jerk twice their body weight or pull themselves up a rope with no help from their legs or J-hook, but what is most impressive is what weights are being moved and what movements are still being performed at the Masters level!

So Carol, thank you for letting us, as your coaches, accompany you to the best display of female athletic performance we have ever seen!  You rocked our CFW world and have inspired more people than you know!
